Sideboards with Style

Sideboards can be used for storage, as a buffet for parties or to display a collection. We’re declaring the sideboard a focal point for dining spaces and as such, it deserves to be styled to the nines!

Here are three ways to style sideboards depending on the design of your space.

The Everleigh Sideboard’s rich dark brown colour and clean lines are ideal for a contemporary look. Touches of femininity come through with modern finishes like sleek handles and a stainless steel base. Equipped with two wine storage drawers and a tempered glass top; perfect for displaying great bottles. The reflective surface gives shine and creates an airy vibe.

Style this Sideboard:   Create a look that is sophisticated and refined.Wetopped this sideboard with metallic glass vases which reflect light and perfectly complement the tone and feel.

A white marble tray with beautiful sleek stainless handles brings the entire look together by pulling in similar metals from the sideboard. Place wine or water glasses and a uniquely shaped pitcher or decanter to create interest.

Dark and dramatic wallpaper or striking wall art can help draw the eye towards the sideboard and enriches the overall look.

The Jakarta Sideboard is a perfect example of classic transitional style. With its beautiful medium brown tone, this sideboard has an earthy feel that can easily be paired with other styles. A sleek stainless steel border frames the horizontal paneling on the doors, which makes it the right mix of classic and contemporary.

Style this Sideboard: Recreate this relaxed style by pairing accessories in neutral hues. Monochromatic tones compliment this look as seen by the frosted decorative bottles and white box, which contrast nicely against the intense charcoal grey wall.

The decorative black orbs add texture and dimension to this transitional style when paired with a couple of coffee table books.

Nothing says ‘Urban’ like the combination of concrete and wood. The Langley Sideboard features a sealed concrete top and dark acacia wood. It delivers versatility and has plenty of storage with two sliding doors which reveal a wine rack and shelving, plus three drawers to the side.

Style this Sideboard:  Pick an interesting back drop. We chose a metallic silver wall paper embossed with a crocodile print to give the space texture and shine. Place accessories in combinations of three to create an urban look. Organic elements, like grasses of floras in glass vases add life, colour and a breath of freshness.

For the final touch, place white decanters in varying height to add interest against the linear accents and artwork.
